Wardrobe, Props and Items used in the First Season of Charmed!

  • Something Wicca This Way Comes   ( 2 Articles )

Reunited in their ancestral San Francisco mansion, the Halliwell sisters -- Prue (Shannen Doherty),
Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) -- discover their family's secret:
all three of them are witches, endowed with remarkable individual powers. This discovery comes
about when the girls come across the "Book of Shadows," an ancient tome chock-full of incantations.
Repeating the words in the book, Phoebe discovers her power to see into the future, Prue is made
aware of her telekinetic skills, and Piper comes to realize that she has the ability to make time stand
still. Before this debut episode of Charmed has run its course, the trio has also come to terms with
their destiny: to use their powers to fight on the side of good against evil -- evil in this case
personified by an extremely unpleasant warlock.

  • Thank You for Not Morphing   ( 2 Articles )

The Halliwell sisters experience mixed emotions when their long-absent father, Victor (played in this episode by Tony Denison), returns. Things become even more strained when dear old dad aligns himself with some shape-shifting neighbors who would love to unlock the secrets of the "Book of Shadows" -- and will stop at nothing to do so. And in a plot development that will bear great significance on the episodes to come, Brian Krause makes his first appearance as studly handyman Leo Wyatt, to whom Piper (Holly Marie Combs) is immediately attracted.

  • The Truth Is Out There... and It Hurts   ( 1 Article )

In this Thanksgiving episode, Prue (Shannen Doherty) utilizes a truth spell to find out how Andy (T.W. King) would react if she revealed that she is a witch. As one fan of the series has succinctly put it, Andy "has problems" with the news -- though in a related romantic development, Piper (Holly Marie Combs) has better luck...at least temporarily. And on a more serious note, Phoebe's (Alyssa Milano) ability to see into the future alerts her to a dangerous situation involving a shadowy serial killer (Brad Greenquist) and the killer's next potential victim (Michelle Brookhurst).

  • The Witch Is Back   ( 4 Articles )

Prue's (Shannen Doherty) sinister boss, Rex Buckland (Neil Roberts), and his confederate Hannah Webster (Leigh Allyn Baker) demonstrate anew that they can't be trusted as far as they can be thrown when warlock Matthew Tate (Billy Wirth) is released from a centuries-old curse. With Rex and Hannah's help, Matthew schemes to steal the "Book of Shadows" from the Halliwell girls, whereupon he will destroy their bloodline for all time. Tyler Layton makes a guest appearance as 300-year-old witch Melinda Warren, a very significant person in the lives of the Halliwells -- not to mention the demonic Matthew Tate's spurned sweetheart.

  • Wicca Envy   ( 3 Articles )
  • Feats of Clay   ( 2 Articles )

When Phoebe's ex-boyfriend comes to town he brings trouble in the forum of a stolen Egyptian

urn which carries a mortal curse. Meanwhile, Prue deals with her own problem of trying to

save the auction house from bankruptcy, and Piper's use of her powers in a misguided

    attempt at matchmaking may backfire.

  • From Fear to Eternity   ( 2 Articles )
  • Which Prue Is It, Anyway?   ( 2 Articles )

In her latest premonition, Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) sees her own sister Prue (Shannen Doherty) being fatally stabbed...for the "crime" of being the first born. It soon appears that this horrifying image will come true: just as the Halliwell sisters' great-great-great-aunt was killed by a demon warrior (Alex McArthur), so too does the selfsame warrior intend to dispose of Prue in order to steal her magic. In a desperate effort to save her sister, Phoebe inadvertently creates a "Prue clone" -- and even she can't tell the two girls apart.
